From 1910, Ladenburg was run by a dynamic partnership, a team of visionary investors who also served as controlling directors of major utilities, rails, and department store chains in the United States, Mexico, and South America. For Ladenburg, this new breed built further upon the solid foundation of the London-styled “merchant bankers” to become the broad-based, forward looking investment banking firm Ladenburg through not one, but two World Wars and beyond.
